The translation of children’s literature stands as a crucial field of ideological negotiation in contemporary intercultural communication. Rooted in the dynamics of globalization and cultural transfer, this study addresses the underexplored issue of how translators mediate between educational norms and ideological constraints. Its main objective is to analyze the adaptive strategies employed by translators to reconcile the source text’s cultural specificities with the sociopedagogical expectations of the target context. Adopting a qualitative methodology that combines corpus-based textual analysis with semi-structured interviews, the research identifies recurrent practices such as censorship, domestication, and cultural substitution. The findings reveal that translation choices often reframe sensitive themes-particularly those related to identity, diversity, and morality-in alignment with dominant cultural paradigms. Beyond linguistic equivalence, the study demonstrates that the translation of children’s literature functions as a vector of ideological transmission and cultural socialization within global literary circulation.
