    The Journal of Legal and Economic Research is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the University Centre of Aflou, Algeria. It is open-access and non-commercial, imposing no fees for publication or review. The journal also publishes special issues irrespective of the regular publication schedule.

The journal focuses on the fields of legal and economic sciences and publishes research in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. It provides an academic platform for researchers to contribute original and innovative work, presented with rigour and objectivity, and in line with peer-reviewed publishing standards.

The journal values originality and scientific accuracy. It is issued in both print and electronic formats, freely accessible for reading and downloading. The journal offers qualified researchers the opportunity to engage with emerging issues relevant to its areas of specialisation. It is published three times a year: in January, June, and September.

Rules For Publishing In Journal Of Legal And Economic Research

Journal of Legal and Economic Research is a peer-reviewed, scientific, open-access, non-commercial journal. It does not impose any fees for publication or review. The journal is issued by the Institute of Law and Political Sciences at the University Centre of Aflou – Algeria, with the possibility of publishing special issues regardless of the regular publication schedule.
  1. Research papers related to legal sciences are accepted in Arabic, English, or French.
  2. The submitted paper must not have been published, submitted elsewhere for publication, or presented in a forum.
  3. The paper must not constitute a part of a book, chapter of a dissertation, or thesis.
  4. The length of articles should be no less than 3,000 words and no more than 10,000 words (excluding the abstract, bibliography, and appendix). All articles must include an abstract in both English and Arabic (350–400 words) and 5–8 keywords.
  5. Each paper must be accompanied by the author’s curriculum vitae, particularly indicating academic degree and institutional affiliation.
  6. The editorial board evaluates and decides on the linguistic and scientific review of the paper.
  7. Research papers and articles become the property of the journal. Authors are not entitled to reclaim or republish them except with the approval of the editorial board.
  8. The order of publication is determined solely on technical grounds after evaluation.
  9. Articles must adhere to recognised scientific methodologies and academic research standards.
  10. Footnotes should be written in Arabic according to the APA 7th edition style, using Sakkal Majalla font size 12. For foreign languages, Times New Roman font size 10 should be used. References must be cited within the text as follows: (Author, Year, Page), e.g. (Ahmed, 2003, p. 33). For legal texts, e.g. (Consumer Protection Law, 09-03, Official Gazette No. 15, 2009).
  11. The full reference must then be provided in the reference list as follows:
  • Books: Author’s surname, first name (Year of publication), Title of the Book, Publisher, Place of publication. If relevant: volume, edition, page.
  • Articles: Author’s surname, first name, “Title of the Article”, Title of the Journal, Issuing Institution, Volume, Issue, Year, Pages.
  • Conference Papers: Author’s name and surname, “Title of the Paper”, Conference details, Place, Date.
  • Theses/Dissertations: Author’s surname, first name, Title of the Thesis/Dissertation, Type (PhD, Master’s), Faculty and University, Year, Page.
  • Websites: Author’s surname, first name or organisation name, “Title of the Article”, Website, Date of access (day, month, year).
  • Legal Texts: Type of legal text, Law number, Date of enactment, Title/subject matter of the law, Official Gazette number, Date of publication, Page.
