Electronic Commercial Offer As A Mechanism For Enlightening Consumer Consent

Authors : Mekki Fella .

Abstract

Abstract: Online purchasing has become a convenient and accessible mode of shopping; however, it also poses several challenges for consumers. They may feel confined to their home or workplace, required to trust unknown suppliers and purchase goods that cannot be physically inspected, which may create a misleading perception of quality or availability and increase the risk of entering contracts without due consideration or genuine intent. Consequently, there is a need to protect electronic consumers by ensuring adequate information disclosure and regulating electronic commercial offers to clarify contractual intent, supported by sanctions for non-compliance under Law No. 18-05 on electronic commerce.
