Updates On The Judicial Investigation Into Law No. 24-15 On Criminal Proceedings

Abstract
This research aims to provide a comparative and in-depth analysis of the fundamental amendments introduced by the new Law No. 25-14 on criminal procedure, particularly with regard to the powers and functions of both the investigating judge and the Indictment Division within the Algerian judicial system. The investigating judge and the Indictment Division, in its capacity as the highest supervisory authority, form the cornerstone of the judicial investigation phase. The investigating judge is entrusted with the task of seeking and gathering evidence in criminal cases, whilst the Indictment Division represents a higher supervisory and judicial level.
