This study aimed to explore the role of school accountability in improving the academic achievement of students in private secondary schools in Egypt and to assess its impact on the performance of teachers and administrators. The descriptive-analytical approach was used with a sample consisting of (18) secondary school teachers and (18) administrators in East Alexandria district schools. The results showed that the current school accountability systems play a limited role in improving academic achievement, as they focus heavily on final results without continuous monitoring of student progress. The study also revealed that these systems negatively impact the performance of teachers and administrators due to the pressures associated with them. The study concluded that improving school accountability requires the introduction of continuous evaluations, professional support for teachers, and additional resources to enhance educational performance
