The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the global educational landscape, compelling institutions to adopt distance learning approaches. In Algeria, where face-to-face instruction was the norm, this shift presented unique challenges. This article explores the effectiveness of blended learning, a hybrid approach combining distance and face-to-face elements, in Algerian higher education. Through a survey of Master's students in English at the University of Mascara, we investigate their perceptions and experiences of blended learning. The findings not only confirm the anticipated benefits of blended learning but also reveal unexpected gains, suggesting that this approach can enrich the educational experience and enhance academic outcomes beyond addressing pandemic-related challenges.
