Abstract
The article examines the legal framework and environmental regulations in Algeria aimed at promoting sustainable development in the agricultural sector, highlighting the gap between legislative intent and practical application, Although there is a comprehensive set of laws, such as Law 03-10 and Law 08-16, the country faces significant challenges in enforcing them due to weak governance, limited oversight, and economic and climate difficulties, The results indicate that ongoing environmental degradation requires a comprehensive re-evaluation of current policies to better align legal provisions with practical reality and ensure effective resource protection.
