This research paper addresses a contemporary issue in digital marketing and e-commerce, one that deserves to be highlighted for its current effects and future implications. The term "algorithmic marketing" emerged following the adoption by businesses of cyber-physical systems (CPSs) and disruptive technologies, most notably artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and big data analytics (BDAs). This comes in the context of the dynamic transition from the fourth generation of the industrial revolution (IR 4.0) to the fifth wave of the industrial revolution (IR 5.0). The study concludes that harnessing the tools of generative AI (G-AI) and large language models (LLMs) as a new era of natural language processing (NLP) enables algorithmic marketers to gain a sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) through hyper-personalization of customer experience (CX) and precise targeting of customer needs and desires.
