Dysfunctional family dynamics substantially impede the development of children's socio-emotional skills and their ability to integrate with peers. The presence of high conflict levels and insecure attachments fosters emotional dysregulation, diminishes empathy, and promotes social withdrawal. Children raised in such environments frequently encounter challenges in forming and maintaining relationships, resulting in obstacles within academic and social contexts. This research aims to investigate the impact of dysfunctional family dynamics on children's socio-emotional competencies and peer integration, utilizing qualitative interviews and standardized assessment tools, such as the Social Skills Improvement System (SSIS). The findings underscore the necessity for effective interventions that emphasize emotional regulation and social skills training to support children affected by these familial challenges.
