Abstract : This study analyzes the "narrative of the usurped place" in the contemporary Palestinian novel, focusing on the representations of three key spaces: Jerusalem, the village, and the refugee camp. The research aims to reveal how these places transform from mere backdrops for events into living spaces and fundamental symbols within the Palestinian narrative consciousness. The novels show how Jerusalem is depicted as a spiritual city and a center of conflict, while the village is evoked as a space of memory and lost identity. The refugee camp is portrayed as a symbol of temporary exile that has turned into a permanent place of resilience. Through analyzing these representations, the study seeks to understand how Palestinian novelists shape the identity of the usurped place and how these narratives become a means of preserving collective memory and resisting attempts to erase history. The study highlights that the place in the Palestinian novel is not just a geography, but a cultural and political entity strongly linked to national identity.
