Urban Transport, Systems And Models: Innovations And Challenges In Developed And Developing Countries. Case Study Of An Algerian City (bejaia)

Abstract

This study explores sustainable urban transport systems and models worldwide. Emphasis is placed on a case study of the city of Bejaia, in order to assess the efficiency and sustainability of local transport and user satisfaction with capacity modes. The research uses a microeconomic approach and a qualitative analysis based on a field survey. The results highlight the need to develop strategies to improve sustainable mobility in developing countries. The results also underline the need to develop strategies to improve sustainable mobility in the city of Bejaia by addressing their specific economic and social challenges.
