Abstract: zygmunt Bauman, a Polish sociologist and philosopher, is widely recognized for his concept of "liquid modernity," which captures the fluid and uncertain nature of contemporary life. Drawing on his personal experiences, including his survival of the Holocaust, Bauman developed a critical perspective on modernity, authority, and the role of the state. He contends that globalization has intensified the instability of identity, authority, and technology, generating new forms of inequality and insecurity. His work also underscores the ambivalence of technology, portraying it as both a mechanism of empowerment and a means of social control. Bauman’s reflections urge a renewed ethical engagement with the challenges of modern life and the need to rethink social values in an age of constant change.
