Abstract: This descriptive exploratory study investigates the possibility of constructing a mental image of national economic institutions through their utilization of institutional digital platforms, encompassing internet applications, official websites, and citizen service platforms. The study seeks to explore the extent to which a comprehensive mental image of the national economy can be formed by employing all available institutional communication technologies within the Algerian economic environment. This study belongs to the category of descriptive survey studies, where the characteristics of the mental image and stereotypes held by citizens of Setif city about the national economy were observed. This was achieved by adopting a random sampling method in which a questionnaire was distributed. The results revealed the extent to which institutional communication technologies, such as digital service platforms, facilitate the provision of various services and cultivate a culture of communication between citizens and institutions. Additionally, the continuous availability of economic information contained in digital news and promotional tools has facilitated the presentation of a fluid and continuously evolving image of the national economy and its institutions.
