الملخص

This analytical study examines the contribution of new media in providing educational support for individuals with special needs, a distinct segment of society facing unique educational challenges due to physiological, cognitive, or educational impairments. Given the specialized nature of education and training for this group, requiring specialized educators, schools, and resources, the rapid development of communication technologies, web applications, social networks, and diverse mass media has led to a new educational and cultural goal: supporting marginalized groups in society through education and inclusion. The topic of technological innovations in media and their various outputs at all levels of the communication process has become a cornerstone of many humanities and social science studies, whether in terms of the target audience or the density and specialization of the media content. With the emergence of YouTube, which allows for individual or group production, even simple educational content, a qualitative leap has been made in the type of content directed at individuals with special needs and motivating them. Additionally, programs on YouTube channels have been produced by this segment to help each other in the processes of education, upbringing, and social integration. Therefore, through this research paper, we will analyze the content of a sample from the "We Are Disabled" program on YouTube, examining the types of topics presented, the educational methods used, the persuasion and influence techniques employed to convince individuals with special needs of the program's objectives, the characters used in the program, the video creator's personality, the educational functions of the program, and the adopted educational goals. Content analysis will be used as a data collection tool.
