Abstract
Abstract: This research aims to examine the nature of the interaction between literary criticism and the humanities, with particular emphasis on the role of the critic’s cultural background and the historical method in shaping modern critical vision. Its significance lies in highlighting how this interaction contributes to the construction of contemporary critical theory and in revealing the points of convergence between classical Arabic criticism and modern approaches in their understanding of culture and methodology. The study adopts a descriptive methodology, employing both inductive and comparative methods to analyze the conceptual foundations shared within the critical process.
