Authors : Bourtal Amina .

Abstract

The right to be forgotten in the digital world is one of the emerging personal human rights that emerged as a result of the digital technological revolution, which, like other rights, was affected by the emergence of the Internet and websites, and was produced by the risks facing the lives of individuals, where their personal freedoms or privacy are violated, especially their personal data, which has become threatened by the development of information and communication technology after it has taken root in various virtual spaces, and is fundamentally linked to the right of the user who does not want his personal information to remain for a long time, under the control of the person responsible for processing it. Data unless there is a legitimate reason for its retention, and in order to protect the personal data and data of natural persons, the provisions of which are regulated by Law No. 18-07 of June 10, 2018, the Algerian legislature has tacitly recognized the right to digital forgetfulness as a result of some comparative legislation.
