Manifestations Of The Identity Crisis Among Algerian Youth: Between Real And Virtual Reality A Study Of A Sample Of Young Tiktok Users

Abstract
The objective of this study is to gain insight into the depth of the identity crisis among Algerian youth in light of their excessive use of the TikTok application. This will be achieved by demonstrating the impact of these new means on a sample of students from the Faculty of Media, Communication and Audiovisual Sciences at Constantine University. In addition, an integrated view will be provided on the issue of the positioning of Algerian youth between real and virtual identity. The findings indicate that interactions on TikTok expose youth to new values and behaviors, leading to a state of cultural alienation and a loss of local specificity.
