الملخص
This study aims to explore the initiatives and programs implemented by An-Najah National University to achieve sustainable education by focusing on the social dimension of sustainable development. The descriptive approach was adopted by addressing the basic concepts related to sustainable development and sustainable education, in addition to the analytical approach by analysing reports issued by international organizations and reports of An-Najah Palestinian University in achieving the social dimension of sustainable development, in order to identify the strengths of this experience and try to transfer it to Algeria. The study reached the following results, the most important of which are: The university plays an effective role in society through educational and service initiatives, which contributes to raising awareness of social issues, and the programs and initiatives implemented by the university contribute to enhancing community interaction and preparing students to be effective contributors to achieving sustainable development. These efforts are not only beneficial to students, but also benefit society as a whole, making sustainable education the basis for comprehensive development. The study also provided several recommendations for the Algerian university so that it can keep pace with successful universities in the field of sustainability.
