This research explores first-year university dropout as a multifaceted issue shaped by institutional support, student motivation, and opportunities for entrepreneurial learning. The aim is to investigate how tutoring practices, motivational processes, and entrepreneurial pathways influence student persistence in higher education. The study adopts a mixed conceptual-exploratory approach, combining literature synthesis with initial empirical evidence from first-year students at Naama University. The results indicate that while institutional tutoring is officially recognized, its irregular application undermines its potential to aid academic integration. Moreover, the findings suggest that student motivation plays a crucial role in maintaining engagement and persistence, serving as a mediating factor between institutional support and learning involvement. Additionally, exposure to entrepreneurial learning opportunities enhances students' perception of academic relevance and strengthens their future orientation. The study concludes that coordinated integration of tutoring systems and entrepreneurial pathways can improve engagement and reduce first-year dropout rates.
