Abstract : This research aims to highlight the importance of clarity in speech by investigating the acoustic properties that underpin intelligible communication. The study analyzes these properties—such as fundamental frequency, formants, and amplitude—to assess how they contribute to perceptual clarity, focusing on the central research question: What are the key acoustic characteristics that determine speech clarity, and how do they interact to ensure effective transmission of linguistic content? The study yielded several significant findings, most notably that speech clarity is directly dependent on the precise configuration of formant structures and the stability of fundamental frequency. Moreover, temporal features such as transition duration and voice onset time play a critical role in distinguishing phonemes, thereby affecting overall intelligibility..
