This study examines the relationship between the availability and accessibility of official statistics, measured by the ODIN index, and development performance reflected in the SDG indicators for sixteen Arab countries in 2022, across the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. Relying on official international data and modern econometric methods, the analysis highlights the role of statistical capacity in shaping development outcomes. The findings show that social data on education, health, and justice significantly support economic performance, while economic data contribute to environmental improvement through better resource allocation. By contrast, environmental data alone did not produce a direct effect, underscoring the need for policy integration. Overall, the results stress that investing in statistical infrastructure, enhancing transparency, and expanding data access are critical to advancing sustainable development in all three dimensions.
