Abstract: The study aimed to understand the nature of the relationship between investment in human capital, represented by the percentage of expenditure on education from total government expenditure, and economic growth, represented by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), in Algeria, this investigation covered the period from 2001 to 2022, To achieve this objective, previous studies and relevant research were reviewed, and an empirical study was conducted with data analyzed using Eviews10 software employing the Yoda and Yamamoto Causality methods, as well as Granger causality, The study concluded that investment in human capital and economic growth are independent variables in the Algerian economy, with no causal relationship between them observed in either the short or long term.
