Authors : Boukrou Nacer .

Abstract

Algerian society witnessed profound transformations during the period of French occupation from 1830 to 1962 CE, as a result of several factors, most notably colonization and settlement. Prominent aspects of this occupation included negativity, looting, land and property confiscation, killing, torture, exile, and forced displacement. These events constituted significant occurrences in the lives of individuals and the community, leaving deep and destructive effects on Algerian society. Did these effects persist and continue to impact successive generations? To answer these questions, we adopted a historical methodology in our research, which involved gathering historical material related to the subject, reading and analyzing it, while employing a comparative approach to the information drawn from the sources.
