Roua Historical for Mediterranean research and Studies- is an international scientific academic journal published every six months by the Laboratory of Mediterranean Historical Studies through the Ages, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yahya Fares University of Medea, specializing in historical and civilizational studies in the Mediterranean basin through various historical eras. This journal comes to be added to other national and international journals and to be a window on diligence in research and specialized studies, in order to elevate the edifice of the knowledge project to the top. The journal hopes that it will be an open platform for all researchers of different intellectual orientations and tendencies, based on the belief in the principle of dialogue, intellectual tolerance and cultural pluralism according to scientific foundations that reject fanaticism and understand the other. Accordingly, it is committed to publishing new and serious research and studies characterized by quality and perfection, and it enables academic researchers from different countries of the world to publish their historical studies and express their ideas and intellectual propositions. The journal accepts articles in any field of historical knowledge, literature and human sciences, history, archeology, history and Philosophy of Science, in the three languages: Arabic, English, and French.

الصراع العثماني الروسي حول القرم 1853-1856م

الملخص: يتناول هذا البحث الحرب التي دارت بين الدولة العثمانية وروسيا خلال منتصف القرن 19م، والتي عرفت بحرب القرم (1853- 1856م)، حيث تعد هذه الحرب من أهم مراحل المسألة الشرقية، وتعتبر محطة بارزة في صراع القوى الأوروبية على النفوذ داخل أراضي الدولة العثمانية، خصوصًا في منطقة البحر الأسود. جاءت هذه الحرب نتيجة للتوسع الروسي المدفوع بعدة أسباب سياسية ودينية وإستراتيجية عكست تنافسًا إقليميا ودوليا على ممتلكات الدولة العثمانية، في المقابل سعت هذه الأخيرة للحفاظ على سيادتها بدعم من بريطانيا وفرنسا، اللتين تدخلتا لحماية مصالحهما في المنطقة، في محاولة لضمان توازن القوى في أوروبا الشرقية. This research addresses the war that took place between the Ottoman Empire and Russia during the mid-19th century, known as the Crimean War (1853-1856). This war is considered one of the most important stages of the Eastern Question and a significant milestone in the struggle for European powers' influence within the Ottoman Empire's territories, especially in the Black Sea region. The war was a result of Russian expansion driven by several political, religious, and strategic reasons, reflecting regional and international competition for the Ottoman Empire's possessions. In contrast, the Ottoman Empire sought to maintain its sovereignty with the support of Britain and France, which intervened to protect their interests in the region and ensure the balance of power in Eastern Europe.
