This research addresses social anxiety as an increasingly prevalent psychological condition characterized by persistent fear, avoidance of social interactions, and heightened self-consciousness. The study aims to explore the nature of social anxiety and examine the complex role of modern technology in shaping its development and expression. Using a theoretical and analytical methodology, the research adopts a descriptive approach grounded in psychological, clinical, and technological perspectives. It investigates key contributing factors to social anxiety while focusing on the impact of digital environments, including virtual communication, online behaviors, and artificial intelligence. The findings indicate that excessive reliance on digital media may intensify social withdrawal, reinforce negative self-evaluation, and weaken face-to-face social skills. However, the study also highlights the therapeutic potential of technology, particularly through virtual interventions, digital mental health platforms, and emerging forms of robotic assistance. The research concludes that technology exerts a dual influence on social anxiety, functioning as both a risk factor and a therapeutic tool. When used appropriately and ethically, technological innovations can support psychological well-being and contribute to social rehabilitation among individuals experiencing social anxiety. Further research is recommended to enhance the effective integration of technological tools within clinical psychology.
