This review aims to explore the global prevalence of smoking among adolescents and examine the underlying factors contributing to its initiation and persistence. Key influences such as genetic predisposition, family environment, peer dynamics, and media exposure are discussed in light of their impact on youth behavior. The paper highlights the serious physical, psychological, and social consequences of tobacco use and evaluates evidence-based cessation strategies, including behavioral therapies, pharmacological tools, and integrative approaches. Emphasis is placed on the importance of early intervention, psychological support, and culturally tailored policies to promote lasting change among adolescents.
