Languages Of Instruction At The University: Toward A Coherent Language Policy

Abstract

The present study is set within the context of the generalization of English in Algerian universities and seeks to analyze the perspectives and linguistic survey related to the use of French and English. The research is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among university professors. The objective is to explore reflections on the linguistic future in teaching and research. The results demonstrate the necessary coexistence of the two languages and advocate for institutional bilingualism that ensures academic and scientific continuity.
