Scientific Publishing Between Arabic And English: Opportunities And Challenges

Abstract
This study aims to investigate opportunities and challenges of scientific publishing in Arabic vs. English among Arab researchers. A Survey of 112 Algerian academics (75% response rate) assessed language preferences and barriers using Likert scales and thematic analysis. Findings reveal 62% prefer English for Scopus impact, compared with 38% Arabic who prioritize Arabic (p<0.01). Seniors researchers (68%) show higher prefernce for English than junior researchers (55%). English proficiency predicts success (χ²=12.45, p<0.01). The study recommends instituional workshops and fee waivers, targeting a 30% growth increase in succeful submission
