The international legal framework represents an important tool for the protection of minorities and the guarantee of their individual or collective rights and freedoms, as these rights are considered an essential part of the rights enshrined for any human being. Accordingly, the international community has established an organized and dedicated legal framework for these rights, ensuring their protection under its special international mechanisms, in recognition of the distinct status of minorities and the need to protect them from all forms of violations, whether material or moral, under legal guarantees derived from the texts contained in the set of international conventions and treaties. Accordingly, this study aims to review the international conventions and treaties that affirm the consecration and protection of the rights and freedoms established for minority groups at the international level, as well as to demonstrate the set of mechanisms entrusted with their protection at the international level.
