Authors : May Ali .

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of different sensory perception dimensions—visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, and gustatory—on customers' repurchase intentions in retail establishments in Constantine, Algeria. The study additionally investigates the mediation function of customer satisfaction within this relationship. A descriptive-analytical methodology was employed by administering a structured questionnaire to a stratified random sample of 284 retail consumers. The findings indicated that sensory perception directly and significantly influences the propensity to repurchase. Moreover, consumer pleasure serves as a partial mediator in this relationship, underscoring the necessity of developing a holistic sensory environment to improve customer happiness and promote repeat purchasing behavior.
