ملخص: يتناول هذا البحث مفهوم الشعر عند سيبويه، محاولًا تجاوز الطرح السائد الذي يختزله في كونه مجالاً للضرورات والاستثناءات النحوية، ويهدف إلى إبراز رؤية أكثر شمولية وديناميكية، تنظر إلى الشعر في الكتاب بوصفه ظاهرة لغوية متكاملة، وفضاءً حيوياً يكشف عن مرونة النظام اللغوي العربي وحدوده وطاقاته التعبيرية. وبالاعتماد على بعض المقولات من الكتاب، وخاصة باب ما يحتمل الشعر، يوضح البحث كيف أن سيبويه لم يتعامل مع الشعر بكونه خروجًا عن القاعدة، بل بأنه نظام لغوي خاص له قوانينه التي تحكمها الاستقامة، ويُظهر الاستقراء أن هذا النظام الشعري يعمل باعتباره مختبرًا لغويًا تُختبر فيه أقصى إمكانيات اللغة، مما يجعله مصدراً أساسياً في بناء النظرية النحوية، وليس مجرد مستودع للشواهد الاستثنائية. Abstract: This study examines the concept of poetry in Sibawayh's Kitāb, moving beyond the prevailing view that reduces it to a domain of grammatical licenses (al-ḍarūrāt) and exceptions. It aims to present a more comprehensive and dynamic perspective, viewing poetry in the Kitāb as an integrated linguistic phenomenon and a vital space that reveals the flexibility, boundaries, and expressive potential of the Arabic linguistic system. Relying on textual analysis of the Kitāb, particularly the chapter "Mā Yuḥtamilu al-Shiʿr" (What Poetry Permits), the research clarifies how Sibawayh did not treat poetry as a deviation from the norm, but rather as a distinct linguistic system governed by its own principles of adherence to rules (istiqāmah). The analysis reveals that this poetic system functions as a linguistic laboratory where the extreme possibilities of the language are tested. This makes poetry a fundamental source for building grammatical theory, not merely a repository of exceptional evidence.
