Despite the numerous benefits of artificial intelligence, especially intelligent robots, their use may sometimes result in harmful consequences-particularly when they operate autonomously. This raises a key legal question: to what extent can these systems be held liable, given their lack of legal personality and the absence of clear legislative frameworks for civil or criminal responsibility. This paper explores the possibility of assigning legal accountability to intelligent robots by critically examining both the theoretical foundations and the practical mechanisms through which liability for damages caused by such systems might be established.
