Abstract
This research paper addresses the topic of Social media and its role in enhancing political participation, This is done by presenting its notion, levels, and most important concepts related to both social networking sites and political participation. It was done using the Descriptive method to know the role of social media in promoting political participation. I concluded that the use of social media sites leads to increased political participation (such as voting, signing petitions, and participating in protests) by facilitating the process of organizing and mobilization., social media sites foster the phenomenon of information bubbles, leading to the formation of homogeneous political groups on the platforms that may limit the diversity of opinion and promote political polarization.
