Deconstructing The Relationship Between Social Capital And Civil Society

Abstract
This study aimed to deconstruct the relationship between social capital and civil society and clarify the disagreement over defining the two difficult-to-define concepts. Utilising the fundamental contributions of Bourdieu, Coleman, and Putnam, the study applies a conceptual technique to analyse the many components of social capital and examine their intersection with civil society. This study provides a critical theoretical framework that enhances the understanding of social capital by addressing contemporary critiques and digital disruptions in civic engagement. The paper concludes by outlining avenues for future research that investigate the influence of social capital on civic agency within varied socio-political contexts هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل العلاقة بين رأس المال الاجتماعي والمجتمع المدني، وتوضيح الخلاف حول تعريف هذين المفهومين اللذين يصعب تعريفهما. بالاستفادة من المساهمات الأساسية لبورديو وكولمان وبوتنام، تطبق الدراسة أسلوبًا مفاهيميًا لتحليل مكونات رأس المال الاجتماعي المتعددة، ودراسة تقاطعها مع المجتمع المدني. تقدم هذه الدراسة إطارًا نظريًا نقديًا يُعزز فهم رأس المال الاجتماعي من خلال تناول الانتقادات المعاصرة والاضطرابات الرقمية في المشاركة المدنية. وتختتم الورقة بتحديد مسارات للبحوث المستقبلية التي تبحث في تأثير رأس المال الاجتماعي على الفعالية المدنية في سياقات اجتماعية وسياسية متنوعة.
