The Reality Of The Knowledge Economy In Algeria According To The Global Knowledge Index - An Analytical Study

Abstract

This research paper aims to analyze the state of the kE in Algeria according to Global Knowledge Index (GKI), with the intention, assessing the performance of its vital sectors and their readiness for (KBI). The study found a variance in the indicators of the knowledge economy in Algeria, as per the GKI. Some indicators achieved positive results, such as pre-university education technical and vocational education and training, and the development of information and communications technology. However, there were weak results in areas like innovation and the enabling environment, along with moderate results in higher education and the economy.
