Abstract
Abstract This study aims to highlight the reality of food security in Algeria according to the Global Food Security Index (GFSI) during the period (2018-2022). It does so by analyzing and evaluating its performance across its four dimensions. The study also analyses the evolution of Basic Plant and Animal food commodity production in terms of cultivated area, productivity, and output during the period under study and the impact of this on the food gap, using SPSS system. The study concludes that, despite some signs of improvement, Algeria’s performance has not yet reached the desired level to achievesustainable food security. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز واقع اﻷمن الغذائي في الجزائر في ظل مؤشر اﻷمن الغذائي العالمي(GFSI) للفترة (2018-2022)،من خلال تحليل و تقييم تطور ٲداءها ضمن ٲبعاده اﻷربعة، و كذا تحليل تطور إنتاج السلع الغذائية اﻷساسية النباتية والحيوانية من حيث مؤشرات المساحة و اﻹنتاجية و إجمالي اﻹنتاج و تٲثيره على الفجوة الغذائية،بإستخدام نظام SPSS . و قد توصلت الدراسة إلى ٲنه رغم ٲن هناك علامات تحسن إلا ٲن ٲداء الجزائر لم يرقى إلى المستوى المطلوب لتحقيق ٲمن غذائي مستدام .
