This study explores the impact of Virtual Reality (VR) training on improving anticipation and decision-making skills in handball players. The research involved two groups: an experimental group trained using VR technologies and a control group trained through traditional methods. Results demonstrated that the experimental group showed superior decision-making accuracy and anticipation of opponents' movements under pressure. Higher levels of immersion in VR environments were linked to better real-game performance, while reduced cognitive load during VR training enabled faster and more accurate decisions during matches. Additionally, VR training enhanced players’ tactical understanding across various positions, such as goalkeeper, defender, and attacker. The findings emphasize the potential of VR as a revolutionary tool for sports training, providing an immersive and effective approach to skill development in competitive, high-performance sports like handball.
