Challenges In Applying Criminal Legislation Amid Digital Developments

Abstract
The application of the law based on traditional concepts of national sovereignty is no longer sufficient to guarantee security and stability in society, given the remarkable technological advancements that have accompanied the widespread use of modern techniques in committing complex and transnational cybercrimes. This unprecedented development has changed our traditional understanding of criminal behavior, its nature, and its effect, to the extent that these crimes impact traditional centers of legal authority and transcend national boundaries . This requires the amendment of legal texts, especially in their implementation across jurisdictions, to adapt to the criminal changes in the digital world, aiming to achieve legal and practical effectiveness in international cooperation to fight this type of crime.
