الملخص

This study highlights governance’s role in managing investment risks in Algerian insurance companies over 2014–2023. by analysing financial data issued by the Directorate of Insurance in Algeria. It explains how insurance companies' funds are deployed in different investment channels in varying proportions, as well as interpreting and evaluating these trends in line with the basic dimensions of governance. The study concluded that the success of an insurance company in risk management is not only related to the quality of financial instruments, but directly and fundamentally to the extent of its commitment to the principles of governance, especially the application of transparency, accountability, and internal and external control, as they contribute to controlling the investment policy, accurately assessing and managing risks, and then making responsible, thoughtful and balanced decisions, and that there is a direct relationship between weak governance practices and limited investment risk management with the absence of real diversification of financial allocations. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز دور الحوكمة في إدارة مخاطر الاستثمار لدى شركات التأمين الجزائرية خلال الفترة (2014-2023)، من خلال تحليل بيانات صادرة عن مديرية التأمينات في الجزائر. والتي توضح كيفية توظيف أموال شركات التأمين في قنوات استثمارية مختلفة بنسب متفاوتة، إلى جانب تفسير وتقييم هذه التوجهات وما يتوافق مع الابعاد الأساسية للحوكمة. وقد خلصت هذه الدراسة إلى أنّ نجاح شركة التأمين في إدارة المخاطر لا يرتبط فقط بنوعية الأدوات المالية بل بشكل مباشر وفق قاعدة جوهرية على مدى التزامها بمبادئ الحوكمة لا سيما تطبيق الشفافية، المساءلة، الرقابة الداخلية والخارجية وكذلك الكفاءة، كونها تسهم في ضبط السياسة الاستثمارية وتقييم المخاطر بدقة وإدارتها، ومن ثم اتخاذ قرارات مسؤولة مدروسة ومتوازنة، وأنّ هناك علاقة طردية بين ضعف ممارسات الحوكمة ومحدودية إدارة المخاطر الاستثمارية مع غياب التنويع الحقيقي للتوظيفات المالية.
