Abstract: This study investigates the influence of adaptation of green human capital (GHC) on firm future sustainability during energy transition, referring to SONATRACH, a reflected mirror of the Algerian energy sector. A qualitative approach was carried out through direct interviews conducted at the International Conference on Green Solutions in the Oil and Gas (O&G) Industrial Sector (May 14–15, 2025, Oran, Algeria). The interviewees consisted of industrial practitioners and academics from Algeria, the UAE, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Thus, for the purposes of this study, we focused on 15 professionals from SONATRACH, ranging from engineers and heads of services to department leaders and directors. The findings illustrate that green human capital (GHC) improves competitiveness, lowers carbon emissions, and increases resilience. This paper is a roadmap for managers and decision-makers seeking to maximize organizational performance during the firm’s engagement in the energy transition (ET), emphasizing the importance of aligning these objectives with GHC strategies.
