The digital transformation has reshaped nearly every aspect of contemporary life, leading to a period of hyperconnectivity that carries significant consequences for international law. As worldwide communication, trade, and governance become more reliant on digital technologies, international legal structures need to adapt to tackle challenges like cybersecurity, data privacy, protection, sovereignty in cyberspace, and the regulation of new technologies such as artificial intelligence. This article examines the legal obstacles created by digital transformation and evaluates how international law can adjust to these emerging circumstances. The article aims to underscore the opportunities and risks posed by digitalization by exploring the intersection of international law with cyberspace governance, global data flows, digital commerce, and the emergence of artificial intelligence. It also proposes structures for aligning international laws to safeguard fundamental rights, uphold state sovereignty, and encourage global collaboration in an interconnected digital landscape.
