Artificial Intelligence In Algerian Elections: Navigating The Imperative Of Digital Transformation Through Ethical And Legal Governance

Abstract
The worldwide adoption of digital transformation has brought artificial intelligence (AI) into electoral processes to enhance transparency and efficiency and improve credibility. The Algerian government started Digitisation after creating the Independent National Electoral Authority (ANIE) in 2019 and passing the 2021 Organic Law on Elections. AI technology provides benefits for election management through voter list optimization and irregularity detection and improved communication systems and secure data handling but it creates multiple legal and ethical problems. The implementation of AI in elections faces multiple challenges. The research investigates Algerian AI election adoption methods through international guidelines.
