Teachers’ Perceptions Of Art And Cultural Education In Algerian Primary Schools: Difficulties And Pedagogical Challenges

Abstract

Despite the progress made by educational policies in Algeria in the field of artistic and cultural education, the reality in primary schools diverges significantly from the established guidelines. This article examines the current state of arts and culture education in primary schools in Algeria, based on qualitative data collected through interactions with teachers to understand their perceptions and practices in cultural and artistic education. The aim is to understand their role as actors and to shed light on the obstacles and challenges impeding the success of this educationnel initiative.
