This study aimed to identify the main difficulties in solving verbal mathematical problems among elementary school students from the perspective of their teachers, as well as to reveal the level of these difficulties. To achieve this, a descriptive methodology was adopted, which is deemed most suitable for this study. Additionally, a questionnaire on the difficulties of solving verbal mathematical problems developed by the researcher Al-Shammari (2012) was utilized. The study was conducted on a sample of 71 elementary school teachers, randomly selected from various primary schools under the National Education Directorate of Tizi Ouzou Province. The results of this study showed that teachers differ in their identification of the difficulties faced by elementary school students in solving verbal mathematical problems. The results ranked the difficulties as follows: the first being difficulties in reading and understanding the verbal mathematical problem, followed by planning to solve the verbal mathematical problem in second place, and then difficulties in implementing the solution to the verbal mathematical problem in third place. The study also concluded that the level of difficulties in solving verbal mathematical problems among elementary school students, from the perspective of their teachers, is average.
