Abstract: The contemporary literary scene has witnessed a significant transformation marked by the emergence of a new trend in novelistic writing led by female authors, commonly referred to as "feminist fiction." This genre has garnered growing attention from writers, critics, and readers alike, due to its engagement with issues that concern women, their social relationships, existential positions, and their pursuit of intellectual and ideological emancipation within a historical context dominated by male roles in cultural and social structures. This study aims to explore the representations of women in contemporary Algerian feminist fiction by examining the key issues addressed by the writer in her struggle to assert female identity and articulate the various forms of conflict experienced by women. The novel Thamacahut Taneggarut (The Last Tale) by Algerian author Linda Koudache serves as the primary case study for analysis. Using cultural criticism as the main analytical approach, the study seeks to uncover the symbolic and semantic layers embedded in the novel, highlighting the impact of historical and social events on the text. It further focuses on analyzing the cultural patterns that shape the narrative structure and ideological content of the novel, making it a rich site for exploring the interplay between the literary and the cultural, as well as the individual and the collective, in a narrative that embodies both resistance and liberation.
