Forecasting Pharmaceutical Imports (increase Or Decrease) In Algerian Between 1990 And 2024 (in-sample And Out-of-sample)

Abstract
The pharmaceutical sector is very important in the industrial sector and the economy in general, and its importance is linked to the country's health security, which makes governments seek to achieve self-sufficiency and implement an import substitution strategy and then head to export to increase the surplus in the trade balance . From here, we formulated the problem around a forecasting study of drug imports in Algeria between the period 1990-2024 by applying the Box-Jenkins model, where we relied on data for the mentioned period from different databases. We processed this data by applying the FORECASTING model using the EVIEWS application and finally concluded that there is a decrease in Algerian imports of drugs and achieving self-sufficiency in some drugs and reducing the deficit in the field of medicament and relying on local industry and the presence of a large convergence between the actual data and the fitted data ملخص: يُعد قطاع الأدوية مهمًا جدًا في القطاع الصناعي والاقتصاد بشكل عام، وترتبط أهميته بالأمن الصحي للبلاد، مما يجعل الحكومات تسعى إلى تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي وتطبيق استراتيجية إحلال الواردات ثم التوجه إلى التصدير لزيادة الفائض في الميزان التجاري.. ومن هنا، قمنا بصياغة الإشكالية حول دراسة تنبؤية لواردات الأدوية في الجزائر بين الفترة 1990-2024 من خلال تطبيق نموذج بوكس-جينكينز، حيث اعتمدنا على بيانات للفترة المذكورة من قواعد بيانات مختلفة. وعالجنا هذه البيانات بتطبيق نموذج التنبؤ باستخدام تطبيق EVIEWS وخلصنا في النهاية إلى وجود انخفاض في واردات الجزائر من الأدوية وتحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي في بعض الأدوية وتقليل العجز في مجال الدواء والاعتماد على الصناعة المحلية ووجود تقارب كبير بين البيانات الفعلية والبيانات المجهزة.
