Abstract
Abstract: This study highlights the context of Algerian institutional repositories in the cloud era, exploring the current state of Algerian institutional repositories and discussing the principal differences between traditional institutional repositories and cloud-native repositories. This paper highlights the opportunities , challenges, and application considerations for Algerian institutions considering cloud migration for their repositories, such as infrastructure evaluation, data security protection, and cost challenges. In addition to the international best practices of implementing cloud computing technology into institutional repositories. And concluding with some recommendations for a more significant higher education sector. ملخص: تستعرض هذه الدراسة سياق المستودعات المؤسسية الجزائرية في عصر السحابة، مع تحليل الحالة الراهنة لهذه المستودعات ومناقشة الفروق الجوهرية بين المستودعات التقليدية والمستودعات السحابية الأصلية. تبرز الورقة الفرص والتحديات واعتبارات التطبيق للمؤسسات الجزائرية التي تفكر في الانتقال إلى السحابة، مثل تقييم البنية التحتية، وأمان البيانات، وتحديات التكلفة. كما تتناول الممارسات الدولية المثلى في تنفيذ تكنولوجيا الحوسبة السحابية في المستودعات المؤسسية، وتختتم بتوصيات هامة لقطاع التعليم العالي الجزائري.
