The study aimed to explore the relationship between R&D expenditures and economic growth in Southern Korea during the period 1996-2021, by examining and measuring the impact of independent variables: R&D spending, gross fixed capital formation and domestic credit to private sector on the dependent variable: GDP growth as an indicator that measures economic growth, and the study relied on data from the World Bank, and relied on economic measurement by applying the non-linear autoregressive distributed lag model method (NARDL), and key results indicate a positive impact of R&D expenditures on economic growth, The results of the study also indicate a positive impact of the rest of the independent variables: gross fixed capital formation and domestic credit of the private sector on economic growth, with no long-term asymmetry and short-term uniformity
