The Military Media Discourse Of The Palestinian Resistance During The “al-aqsa Flood” Operation A Descriptive Analytical Study Of The Military Spokesperson For Al-qassam Brigades, “abu Obeida”

Abstract
Abstract: This study aimed to examine the structure and content of the military media discourse of the Palestinian resistance using the analysis of a sequence of speeches delivered by Abu Obeida, the military spokesman of the Al-Qassam Brigades, during the "Al-Aqsa Flood" campaign. The research is in the field of descriptive and analytical research using the survey method as the most suitable method. A systematic content analysis of all Abu Obeida's speeches in the Al-Aqsa Flood was conducted. For the purpose of collecting enough data related to the study subject, the researcher utilized both scientific observation as well as a content analysis template. According to the study findings, Abu Obeida used Modern Standard Arabic frequently in his orations. "Bandwagon" was the most frequently used propaganda tactic, and emotional persuasion strategies were used the most. The spokesperson resorted to a huge number of words and phrases with very strong ideological and symbolic loading. Numerous symbols and icons which had high semantic and symbolic burden were also used in his orations. In addition, his words emphasized freedom and independence above anything else that was good.
