Abstract: The This study aims to explore the role of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, in promoting the internal tourism assets of Bouira province and to examine the impact of users’ interaction with local tourism pages on their visit intentions and tourism behavior. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical design within a mixed-methods approach, relying on a questionnaire administered to a sample of 300 Facebook users from different age groups and both genders in the province. The instrument was structured into dimensions measuring usage patterns, the level of following tourism pages, destination image, and visit intention, in addition to a descriptive analysis of the content of local tourism pages. The findings indicate a high level of engagement with Facebook and tourism pages compared to the theoretical mean, a dominance of visual content (photos and videos) with a clear preference for videos, and a generally positive image of the internal tourism assets. Statistical tests (t-test and Pearson correlation) revealed significant positive relationships between interaction with tourism pages and destination image on the one hand, and visit intention and tourism behavior on the other.
